Online Booking Fee
There is a non-refundable booking fee of £1 per online transaction.
We charge a booking fee because to provide advance booking facilities via our website, we have
to use intermediate companies. The booking fee is set to offset some of the additional cost incurred by us. This is not a “Credit Card Processing Fee” – credit and debit card transactions carried out in person at the cinema do not incur any additional booking charges. All of our credit and debit card processing costs are incorporated within our ticket prices, with no additional fees on any transaction.
Venue Restoration Levy
We are extremely lucky that our home is one of the oldest purpose built cinemas in the world. Each year however, the ongoing maintenance of our Grade-II listed building costs around £80,000.
To support our costs, all of our tickets, whether bought online or in person, include a £1 restoration levy fee which are used exclusively to help support the upkeep our community cinema. Each year, this levy will pay for around 60% of the cost of ensuring that we maintain the venue for future generations.
