Sustainable Clevedon, in collaboration with Curzon Cinema and Arts, is presenting the Green Shift Festival again this spring. Running across venues in Clevedon the festival addresses the pressing issues of climate change and nature loss through a diverse program of music, poetry, art, community engagement, and thought-provoking discussions.
Addressing these questions – how can we make the necessary big changes in society and bring action for change into our own lives and communities – the festival will be a chance to understand and engage with the issues, listen to renowned speakers and performers, participate in community events and create a spirit of activism and hope for the future.
Green Shift Festival 2025 at the Curzon will start with a lively, intergenerational, key note ‘in conversation’ with Jonathon Porritt and Mya-Rose Craig (aka the Bird Girl).
Expert panels will go on to discuss how to bring about societal change and be an effective activist, including speakers from Green Futures, Good Law Project, Greenpeace, and the Transition Network.
The day will be interspersed with inspirational short films that touch on talking points discussed during the panels.
